As you may or may not know, Apple has been building its own chips for the iPad, iPhone, and Apple Watches for quite a while now. They recently announced at the “One More Thing” event they will now be building chips in-house for Macs as well. The Mac chip will be known as the M1. Some of the features of the chip include an 8-core CPU, 16 billion transistors, Apple’s Secure Enclave built-in system, and more.
